Daytime Makeup
Daytime makeup is easily smudged up by most women and generally leans towards "a little more than needed" or "too less to even make a difference". Learn the best way to apply makeup for daytime step-by-step for a soft, natural look.
Foundation
Daytime makeup should begin with a fresh, clean face before applying a foundation to match your skin tone. Small dabs from a flat sponge or from your fingertips can be used. The sponge is needed to blend and smooth the foundation, omitting the neck or chin area.
Concealer and Powder
A concealer can be applied with fingertips or a brush on problem areas, such as redness or the darkening of the eyelid. The next step is dusting the entire face with powder, with sunscreen if necessary, using a large, round brush.
Eye Shadow
Eye shadow, in a neutral tone, is applied over the entire eyelid, with a brush or sponge. In general, a darker shade of eye shadow is applied in the crease of the eyelid and a paler highlighter is used on the eyebrow bone.
Eye Liner
A thin line of eyeliner is drawn from the inner to the outer corner of the eyelid at the base of the eyelashes, using a brush, pencil, or other applicator. Lining the lower lashes is optional, but lining within the rim of the eye is unsafe. Brush or pencil in color to match your eyebrows, not your hair, filling in with no severe arching or defining.
Mascara
The next step is applying mascara, with a brush or wand in two separate coats, allowing adequate drying time.
Blush
Blush should be brushed the length of the cheekbone toward your ear, following with a sponge to blend the color.

Make Bath Teas
Directions to make:
Prepare a clean work surface. Pour the loose herbs into a wide mouth bowl. Combine thoroughly. Then, simply place the loose herbs inside the bag and seal the opening closed with a hot iron for about 10 seconds. Each heat seal pouch can hold about .4 oz. of herbs
Directions for use:
Simply place them in a tub of hot, running water and fill bath half way, let steep for 10 minutes, fill the bath with cooler water to the desired temperature and enjoy your herbal bath! Can be re-used if set out to let dry.
Note: As a rule of thumb when purchasing, one large heat sealable bag holds approximately .4 ounce botanicals and the small heat sealable bags hold about .1. So, if you need 50 bath teas, you would purchase about 20 ounces of botanicals (50 X .4). Or if you have 20 ounces of botanicals on hand, you would calculate 20 divided by .4 = 50 large bath bags needed.

Your Own Bubble Bath
The ingredients used to make bubble bath can be found in most large grocery stores or health food stores. You can also find all of the ingredients online. They are inexpensive.
One of the benefits of making your own bubble bath is that you know exactly what is in it. If you are allergic to anything, you can be certain it is not in your bubble bath.
Another benefit to making your own bubble bath is that you know all of the ingredients are fresh and natural. There is no concern about a product that was left on the shelf for months. Another benefit is that you can be certain that your product is environmentally conscious and that it does not promote animal testing.
Bubble bath is a wonderful inexpensive way to treat yourself. Supplies are easy to find and you can create a bubble bath suited exactly to your personal tastes and needs.
An important ingredient in bubble bath is essential oil. Essential oils add the scent to your bubble bath. Use these sparingly, as you only need to use several drops to get a pleasant effect. Many essential oils should not be ingested orally, so be sure to read the directions. There are also some essential oils such as marjoram that should never be used by pregnant women. You can research any essential oil at the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy www.naha.org. Also look in aromatherapy books and ask questions at the health food store when buying essential oils.
Some essential oils are known to be relaxing and soothing. The most popular include lavender, sandalwood, marjoram, frankincense, myrrh, rosewood and chamomile. These essential oils will calm you down, relax you and help you go to sleep.
Other essential oils will uplift and energize you. Peppermint, spearmint, eucalyptus and lemon oil are all oils that will brighten your day and are good to use during the day. Eucalyptus oil is especially good if you have a cold because it will break up your cold’s congestion.
To soften your skin, consider adding either coconut or almond oil to your bubble bath concoctions. Coconut oil has a wonderful nutty and floral fragrance to it. Almond oil is virtually unscented. Adding a half a cup of either almond oil or coconut oil to your bubble bath will soften your skin tremendously. This is a great addition for your bubble baths for the winter months.
Store your bubble baths in a nonbreakable container. The materials you use to make bubble baths can "keep" for awhile. You can store your bubble bath on a shelf in your bathroom or bedroom for easy access.
Personalized bubble baths make an excellent gift. You can find many decorative plastic containers at your local art store. For decorative effect you can add either marbles or seashells to the bottom of the container. If you are giving bubble bath to a child or teenager, consider adding a small amount of glitter. Do not add food coloring because it can stain people temporarily. Tie your container with a pretty bow or even a piece of tulle.
When giving bubble bath as a gift, consider adding some other bath related items. Give bath mitts or a big yellow rubber duck. Your friend or loved one will appreciate such a thoughtful and personalized gift.

Hair Care Home
Tame your frizzy hair by rubbing coconut oil into your hands and applying sparingly onto your hair. You don't want to overdo it - too much will make your hair look greasy. Shampooing your hair less frequently also helps with the frizzies. Excess shampooing strips natural oils from the hair.
Rinse your hair with baking soda to get rid of shampoo build-up and styling residues. Rinsing your hair with lemon juice is said to bring life and shine back to dull hair. Apple cider vinegar mixed with water will give your hair shine and bounce.
Add essential oil of ylang ylang to your shampoo, conditioner and styling agents as a hair rejuvenator. Ylang ylang and rosemary essential oils are also believed to stimulate hair growth.
Drinking plenty of water and eating plenty of raw fruits and vegetables is probably the best way to achieving healthy hair. What goes into your body is reflective on the outside including your hair.

Gray Hair
1) Potatoes: Boil potato peels in water, strain, and cool. Use the strained water as an after-shampoo rinse to darken grey hair
2) Sage covers the grey when used consistently over a period of time. Simmer 1/2 cup dried sage in 2 cups of water for 30 minutes. Steep for 2-3 hours. Strain, use as rinse on clean hair. Leave on until hair has dried, then rinse out.
3) Mix 1 tablespoon of apple-cidar vinegar with one gallon of warm water, use as final rinse to brighten grey hair.
4) Use an infusion of hollyhock (blue-purple flowers) to remove the yellow cast from grey hair.

Hair Conditioners
The basic function of a conditioner is to replace the sebum that is lost from your hair. And though you get shampoos and conditioners fortified with vitamins and proteins and fruit extracts, the base line remains that none of them can replace the importance of a balanced and healthy diet. Nevertheless, it is always better to know what to use and what not to use for your hair. Different types of conditioners with varying ingredients are available in the market today. Choose what best suits your hair.
Here's everything you wanted to know about conditioners but did not know whom to ask:
Protein Conditioners
Fortified with proteins, these lubricate your hair between washes. Although the protein does not penetrate the hair shaft, it can temporarily thicken your hair.
Deep Conditioners
These usually contain most of the agents found in instant conditioners and are more concentrated. Deep conditioners are meant to remain on the hair for a longer period of time, at least for about 20 minutes. They are also available in the form of hot-oil treatments or protein packs.
The use of deep conditioners may include the application of heat, because warmth causes the small breaks holes in the hair shaft to enlarge. Deep conditioners work very well for damaged hair. Once a month is what experts recommend.
Leave-In Conditioners
These cover the gamut of blow-drying lotions, hair glazes, and hair thickeners. These are applied o shampooed, towel-dried hair and not removed until the next washing. These products increase the shine in dull hair but do nothing for split ends or frizziness.
Instant Conditioners
Meant to be used straight from the bottle as they are premixed, these are to be applied immediately after shampooing. Instant conditioners usually contain additives including herbal extracts, aloe, vitamins, balsam, and lanolin. These give sheen to the hair, but are only mildly conditioning.

The Frizz
My daughter hates her hair. Several of my friends hate their hair, too. Why? Because it tends to frizz!
We're not talking afro style frizz here or even anything remotely close, but when your hair's supposed to be sleek and smooth, even the tiniest amount of frizz can be frustrating.
While I'm not going to suggest I can cure your problems, having had my share of the frizzes I've picked up a good few tips through the years and hopefully, by following them, you'll soon be experiencing frizz-free days, too.
* DO NOT wash you hair daily
Although you may feel that your hair will be dirty if you don't wash it every morning while you shower, others are very unlikely to notice. Only greasy hair will show signs of being unwashed after one day and frizzy hair is rarely greasy. On the contrary, the fact that you're stripping away your hair's natural oils is the most likely cause of your frizz problem. Leave your hair for 3-4 days between washes.
* DO use conditioner
Try to find a moisturizing conditioner and use it after every wash. It's really worth paying a little extra for a good quality conditioner and if you can't afford both a good shampoo and a good conditioner, put the extra money into the conditioner.
* DO give your hair an intensive hot oil treatment
About once every third wash (if you're sticking to the 3-4 day washing guide), use a leave-in intensive conditioner on your hair. This will help replace any natural oils that your hair has lost due to the abrasive cleaners in shampoo and your hair being exposed to the elements (sun, wind etc).
* DO NOT use chemicals on your hair
Those who are unhappy with their hair have a tendency to colour it and use all sorts of other chemicals in a vain hope of somehow making it look better. The truth is, these chemicals are just adding to your problem. If your hair has a tendency to frizz, keep away from unnecessary chemical products.
* DO NOT expose your hair to the elements
Sun and wind will both dry your hair causing excessive frizzing. Try to wear a scarf or hat to cover your hair whenever you're in the sun and especially if you know you're going to be spending a lot of time outdoors. A scarf will also protect against wind damage. You might also consider buying hair products that protect against UV rays (they have a SPF - Sun Protection Factor).
* DO have your hair cut regularly
Those with frizzy hair will probably be happier with a short style but whatever you choose, it's important you visit your hairdresser regularly as split ends will only add to the problem.
* DO try to keep your hair dry
Damp air leads to frizz. Unfortunately, we can't always ensure that our hair will stay dry but if you think it might rain, carry an umbrella. There are some really funky looking brollies around these days so they won't cramp your style.
* DO NOT use heated styling tools
Hair dryers, straightening irons and curling tongs all damage the hair and should be avoided as much as possible. If you MUST use them, always use a protective product on your hair beforehand. If you're uncertain of the kind of product you'd need, ask your hairdresser for advice.
* DO use anti-frizz products
Products such as frizz-ease aren't just another way of getting you to part with your money. Although they'll never completely eliminate the problem, they really do help decrease it. However, it's important that you stick with the other tips, too. Using anti-frizz products alone simply isn't enough.

Hair Coloring
Your hair color is one of the easiest ways to improve the way that you look, to brighten your appearance, and to express your personality. There are many ways that you can color your hair, as well as many ways to select the color that you use. If you want to get the best results from your hair coloring treatment then you should follow these five simple tips.
Hair Coloring Tip 1 - Know What You Want
Before you select any hair color you need to know what you want. For example do you want a color that is subtle, or do you want something vibrant? Or, do you want something that looks natural or do you want something that is wild and crazy?
Hair Coloring Tip 2 – Know What Looks Good
After you have decided what type of hair color you want, next you need to decide on the color, or colors that will accomplish your hair color goals and that will also look good with your skin color. If you are set on being a blonde, but you have a complexion that is not normally associated with naturally blonde hair then you need to select a shade of blonde that will work with your skin tone. Also, if you are extremely pale, then you don’t want to select a color that will wash you out. You will want to select a shade or color that will brighten your face and play off your natural coloring.
Hair Coloring Tip 3 – Not Sure What You Want, Use a Temporary Color
If you don’t know what color you want your hair to be then you can use a temporary hair color. These coloring agents will only last for a few days, which should be long enough for you to decide if you like it or not. This is also a good option for getting a new look for a special event without having to commit yourself to an extreme color change.
Hair Coloring Tip 4 – Make Sure You Have Healthy Hair Before You Color It
To get the best looking and feeling color processed hair you need to make sure that your hair is healthy before you dye it. Clean and condition your hair the day before you color your hair. A few days before you dye your hair you may also want to use an intensive hair treatment product to repair your hair follicles. This will provide your hair color with a solid structure to bond to. This will help improve your color’s brilliance and it will also help your color to stay vibrant longer.
Hair Coloring Tips 5 – Use the Right Shampoos and Conditioners
To help preserve your new hair color you will want to make sure that you use a shampoo and conditioner that is designed for color treated hair. These products will help keep your color bonded to your hair, they will reduce fading, and they will help improve the texture and health of your hair.

The process of washing our hair is one of the first hygiene lessons that we receive as children. However, the way that most people wash their hair is actually added to the damage that their hair is experiencing. If you are looking for a way to wash your hair that protects it from damage instead of increasing its damage then you need to follow a few simple steps.
Step 1 – Prepare Your Hair to be Washed Properly
The first thing that you need to do before you wash your hair is to brush out the tangles and knots. By brushing it before you wash your hair you are reducing the chances that you hair will break or get tangled further once it is wet. This process also distributes your natural hair oil, which will protect it from harsh soaps in your shampoo.
Step 2 – Use the Right Kind of Water
The type of water used to clean your hair can also impact how clean and healthy your hair is. Don’t use hot water to wash your hair. This will dry it out. Instead use warm water. Next, if you have highly chlorinated water then consider installing a water softener. Chlorine is very bad for your hair. Softened water also allows you to rinse more of the soap out of your hair, leaving it cleaner.
Step 3 – Use the Right Kind of Shampoos and Conditioners
You really need to use a quality shampoo and condition that is designed for the type of hair that you have. For example if you have dry hair use a shampoo for dry hair, and if you have curly hair use a shampoo designed for curly hair. Another tip regarding shampoo is that you don’t want to change your shampoos. Once you find one that you like stick with it. Changing shampoos can cause your hair to go into shock.
Step 4 – Be Gentle
Your hair is very brittle when it is wet. Because of this you should be careful not to tug, twist, or pull your hair when you are washing it. Use gentle motions and very little pressure.
Step 5 – Rinse Thoroughly
After you have shampooed make sure that you rinse your hair thoroughly. If you leave shampoo in your hair it will make your hair look greasy, unwashed, and unhealthy. It can also make you very uncomfortable.
Step 6 – Be Careful
The final step is to treat your hair carefully after you have washed your hair. You really shouldn’t brush your hair when it is wet, as this can lead to severe breakage. Instead use a comb or allow it to dry before you brush it out. This is also the time when you can add in spray in conditioners, heat protective products, anti-frizz products, or what ever other hair care products that you use.

Damaged Hair
Tip 1 – Use the Same Shampoo
Most people don’t realize that changing your shampoo can actually cause your hair to go into shock. When your hair is in shock it is brittle, straw-like, and unattractive. To give your hair a chance to stabilize you should find a shampoo that gets your hair clean and then stick with it.
Tip 2 – Use a Conditioner with Sun block Every Day
Using a conditioner with sun block every day has two functions. First, conditioner helps the scales on your hair follicles to lie flat, which improves both the look and feel of your hair. Secondly, the sun block in the conditioner helps to protect your hair from sun damage. If you can’t find a conditioner with sun block, look for a spray-on sun block that is designed for hair.
Tip 3 – Use Hair Care Products That Are Designed for the Type of Damage That Your Hair Has
There are hundreds of hair care products that you can use to treat your damaged hair. However, before you select a product make sure that it is designed to treat the type of damage that your hair has, and make sure that it is a quality product. When you get your products home, make sure that you read the instructions carefully before you apply it to your hair. By following the directions on the product you will be able to improve your results.
Tip 4 – Trim the Ends of Your Hair Every Two Weeks
Even if you are trying to grow your hair out it is important to trim the ends of your hair about every two weeks. You don’t have to trim very much, just about a centimeter if your hair is relatively healthy. However, if you have seriously damaged ends you will need to trim above the damaged area. By trimming your ends you will stop split ends and you will improve the overall look and health of your hair.
Tip 5 – Use Kitchen Products to Heal Your Hair
There are several items in your kitchen that you can use to improve the health and appearance of your hair. For split ends, dry hair, and frizzy hair you can use olive oil and a beaten egg. Start by massaging olive oil into your hair. Then add in a beaten egg. Let this mixture marinade your hair for about 10 minutes and then shampoo and condition your hair. Mayonnaise is another kitchen staple that can be used to condition your hair. To use this home remedy simply massage mayonnaise into your dry hair and let it sit for about 30 minutes. Then rinse it out of your hair. Finish up by shampooing and conditioning your hair.

Hair Care Tips
Sunscreen for Hair
If you're heading to the beach, you don't just need to protect your skin with sunscreen, you need to protect your hair as well. Many of today's hair care products come complete with sunscreen, so be sure to read labels. One smart idea is to dampen hair, then coat with a protective leave-in conditioner that contains a high SPF sunscreen. Not only will your hair be protected from the sun's harsh rays, the heat will help the conditioner penetrate the strands, leaving your hair more healthy and beautiful than ever. If you get your hair wet with seawater, it's important to rinse it out afterwards with club soda or mineral water. After rinsing, reapply your leave in conditioner. If your hair is fine textured, then you may want to choose a leave in conditioner that comes in a light spray form.
Seawater Products
However, seawater isn't all bad. Some professional stylists actually fill spray bottles with seawater and use it to add texture and volume to their client's tresses. However, straight seawater can be drying, so it's probably better to use a special product designed to be gentle and nurturing. Some good choices are John Frieda Beach Blonde Ocean Waves Spray and Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray.
Care while Swimming
If you're planning to swim in a chlorinated pool, your best bet is to cover your hair with a bathing cap. If that's just not your style, then at least be sure to protect your hair. In this case, coat dampened hair with a rich, deep conditioner that will protect it from chlorine damage. Chlorine can turn certain shades of hair a greenish hue, so be sure to rinse hair with club soda or preferably wash it with a special shampoo designed to remove chlorine.
Easy Hairstyles for Summer
Summer is a time when casual updos are the style of choice. Because it's so hot, many women don't like wearing their hair down, especially if it's long or thick. One easy upswept look is done by gathering your hair into a ponytail, then twisting it. Tuck the ends under the twist and secure with a sturdy clip. And that's all there is to it!

Tips for Frizz Free Hair
Frizzy hair is a problem that is endemic of curly hair. Most women try every trick possible to tame their frizz, but it seems that their attempts always end up making the problem worse instead of better. Fortunately there are several proven tips that you can follow to create a beautiful head of frizz free hair.
Tip 1 – Take Advantage of Anti-Frizz Styling Products
There are a lot of great products on the market today that are designed especially for managing frizzy hair. Once you select a good product you will want to apply a small dollop of the product into the palm of your hand, and then work it into your hair, scrunching your curls up. It is important that you don’t use too much anti-frizz serum as this can make your hair look oily or greasy. Once the product is in your hair you can either allow your hair to dry naturally or you can blow dry it using a diffuser.
Tip 2 – Use Shampoos and Conditioners That are Designed for Curly Hair
Tip 3 – For Extra Frizz Control Use a Leave In Conditioner
If you have excessively frizzy hair then a leave in conditioner is a great option. These conditioners can be applied any time of the day, and they don’t need to be washed out. Leave in conditioners not only help reduce the development of frizzy hair, but they also help to protect your hair from sun damage.
Tip 4 – Use Coconut Oil
If you are looking for a less expensive anti-frizz product then you may want to try pure coconut oil. This can usually be found for less than $4. To use this treatment you will need to start with clean and conditioned hair. Then apply a small amount of the oil to the surface of a fine tooth comb and comb the oil into your hair.
Tip 5 - Use a Curl Definer
In addition to using an anti-frizz serum you may also want to use a curl definer. The curl definer will keep your curls in individual locks. This will help your hair from becoming frizzy.
Tip 6 – Get the Right Hair Cut
If you have thick frizzy hair then you may just need a good hair cut to tame your frizz. Go to a professional hair stylist for advice about what hair cut you can get to reduce the frizziness of your hair. You may only need a small adjustment to your current cut in order to create a big difference in the look and feel of your hair.

Tips for Treating Dry Hair
If you suffer from dry hair then you know that it is a condition that makes your hair look and feel like straw. What you may not know is that dry hair can also make your hair susceptible to serious damage like breakage, split ends, and hair loss. Fortunately there are several easy hair care tips that you can follow to repair your dry hair.
Tip 1 – Use Products Designed for Dry Hair
One of the mistakes that women make is using the wrong hair care products for their hair. If you have dry hair and you use shampoo and conditioner that is designed for oily hair then these products can actually make your dry hair worse. To get the best results, you need to read the labels and make sure that the hair care products that you purchase are designed for dry hair.
Tip 2 – Get a Professional Treatment
If you have seriously dry hair then you really need to go to a professional salon and see a hair care professional. Salons have access to professional grade products that will improve the look, feel, and quality of your hair immediately. After your professional treatment, ask your hair care professional what products you can use at home to maintain healthy hair.
Tip 3 – Condition Every Day
Many women think that using a conditioner isn’t necessary, while others only condition a few times a week. If you have dry hair it is important to condition your hair everyday. If you don’t wash your hair every day then you can use one of the spray on conditioners that are now available in most department stores. These products are designed to condition your hair without weighing it down. For extra protection from sun damage look for conditioners that also contain an SPF of at least 15.
Tip 4 – Greasy Up Your Hair
If you don’t have a lot of money to spend on fancy salon treatments then you can use either an olive oil and egg treatment or a mayonnaise treatment. Both of these treatments can be made from products found in your pantry, and both of these treatments can be done at home. If you have damaged hair then marinating your hair in olive oil and a beaten egg is a great option, and if you want an extra-strong hair conditioner marinate your hair in mayonnaise. After each treatment rinse your hair, and then shampoo and condition it like you normally would.
Tip 5 – Get a Good Hair Cut
Dry hair can sometimes be caused by split ends and over-processing. If you color your hair, use chemicals to straighten it, or torture your hair with curling irons and straightening irons then you may need to remove the damage by getting a hair cut. By removing all of the damaged hair you will have a much healthier base to work with.

Blonde Hair
Keeping Your Blonde Vibrant
Keeping Your Blonde Hair Shiny
Shiny blonde hair seems to be synonymous with being young and sexy. If you want to keep your blonde hair looking shiny and beautiful then you need to keep it healthy. To do this you will need to use a shampoo that is designed for blondes. These shampoos will have ingredients that are designed to boost shine and reduce residue build up. Next you will need to keep your ends trimmed. This will help you to avoid split ends and reduce breakage and hair damage.
How to Get the Green Out of Your Blonde
If you are a blonde swimmer then you know that there is a real chance that you hair is going to turn green. While most people believe that this green color is caused by the chlorine in the pool the actual culprit is the copper in the pool’s anti-algae chemicals. The best way to treat this problem is to prevent it. To do this you should use a swim cap. If your hair is already green then you will probably need to use a professional grade hair product that contains an anti-oxidant and that is designed to treat swimming pool discoloration.
Dealing with Fine Hair
If you have fine blonde hair then you are probably dealing with several hair problems. One of the problems is styling your hair to make you look like you have more volume. Using products that are designed for adding volume to hair is one option that you have to bulk up your hair. Getting the right hair cut is another option that you have to improve the shape and volume of your hair.
If you are dealing with hair that is so fine that you look bald in some areas then you may want to consider using a blonde hair piece to fill in your hair. Hair pieces come in a variety of styles and length. If you have short hair then there are hair pieces that attach with a small comb. There are also hair pieces that have clasps that are designed especially for fine hair.

Black Hair
Step 1 – Know What Type of Black Hair You
HaveBefore you can select the right products for your hair you need to understand what type of black hair you have. First of all you need to determine what texture your hair has. Do you have curly hair? Course hair? Fine hair? Smooth hair? Or do you have a combination of these hair types?
Step 2 – Know What Hair Problems You Have
Black hair, like any other type of hair, is also prone to hair problems. Again, before you can select the right hair care products for your hair you need to identify what problems your hair has. For example do you have oily hair or dry hair? Do you have split ends? Or do you struggle with frizzy hair?
Step 3 – Select the Right Hair Care Products for Your Hair
There are literally thousands of hair care products on the market today. When you go shopping make sure that you are selecting products that will address your hair’s issues, and that will enhance your natural beauty. Don’t buy products that are not designed for the type of black hair that you have, as these products will only damage or weigh down your hair. Read the labels of hair care products that you are interested in to see what they are recommended for. For example, if you have coarse, curly black hair then you will need a frizz controller that is a little heavier than if you have smooth, curly black hair.
Step 4 - Get a Hair Cut That Works With Your Hair
Not every hair cut is right for every type of hair. To look your best, and to improve the health and condition of your black hair, you need a quality hair style and cut that will work with your hair’s characteristics instead of working against these things. Talk to a professional hair stylists if you don’t know what hair cut is right for you.
Step 5 – Liven Up Your Hair with Natural Rinses
If you want to add a little color to your black hair without using chemicals then there are non-chemical rinses that you can use to add a temporary color accent to your hair. Use unsweetened Kool-Aid powder dissolved in water as a hair rinse to add a funky color to your hair. This color usually lasts a couple of shampoos. Cranberry juice can also be used as a hair rinse. It produces an auburn tint to your hair. If you want to naturally lighten your black hair you can use lemon juice and sunlight. Because black hair is so dark, these colors are going to be faint, but they should add a little pop when caught in the right light.
